Great Ideas Are In the Hearts and Minds of Us ALL

Before we go any further I’d like to give a piece of vital information about coming up with good ideas for a business or anything in general and that is…

We all have, are having or have had great, business, ideas that could make us money online and offline.
Here is a thought by Steven Johnson on “Where Good Ideas Come From” is what he calls the slow hunch.

The slow hunch is a thought that any great or important idea needs time to evolve and isn’t accessible to you until several months, years, even decades before manifesting in a certain way that is useful to you.

You might have a vision or some sparks of hunches dancing around on a new business idea but something feels to be missing. This is because at this point you only have half an idea e.g. the ingredients to make cake, but not the vision of the cake itself.

It is vital to allow your ideas time to develop and look for ways to connect with others who might just have the missing piece(s) needed to make a true breakthrough.

Connectivity + Your hunch + Others hunches = INNOVATION (A EUREKA WINNING BUSINESS IDEA THAT JUST BLOWS EVERYONE’S MINDS)

Now we understand the philosophy on coming up with great ideas for business. Below let’s now look at exact actions to take to get that unique business idea quick.

Your Environment and Naysayers

Before we get into the steps on creating a business idea that makes money, watch this video by Grant Cardone on Naysayers.

Quick definition: a person who habitually expresses negative or pessimistic views: Despite a general feeling that things were going well.

However!!

Grant explains that a naysayer is worse than the definition given and is much more dangerous than a hater.

A hater directly says what they hate about you or what you are doing and THAT’S IT.

BUT, the naysayers are the people close to you like a family member, a friend, girlfriend, boyfriend, an acquaintance or colleague.

Whoever they are, intentionally or unintentionally either way they try and hold you by giving you advice, showing they are worried about you or through encouragement.

Example #1: I love you just the way you are.

Example #2: You don’t need to change anything. Don’t change one thing.

Example #3: You are already doing really well here, there’s no need to go anywhere else.

Example #4: Why do you need all of this? Why can you be happy with what you’ve got?

Example #5: You did so well on that. Why don’t you just stay.

Example #6: Aren’t you worried? I know I would.

Example #7: Be careful. Don’t get hurt. Don’t say that.

Example #8: That is a bit too much. Isn’t that too much?

Example #9: People won’t like that.

Example #10: Why do you want to do that?

Example #11: Are you sure?

1. WHAT’S FRUSTRATING YOU?

How would you come up an appealing business thought? That is a question that stumps most energetic entrepreneurs. The beginning of a year is an extraordinary time to begin a business. 2. WHAT’S FRUSTRATING OTHERS?

A great source of idea or solution to the problem would come if you just do some research on the internet. Read different blogs, review about products and the comments from the users/consumers. It would let you identify the problems faced by the consumer and if you manage to come up with an idea to resolve it. The first step of success starts walking towards you.

3. ASK SHOPPERS: FACE TO FACE

To come up with a thought that addresses individuals’ issues, there’s no better solution than to have a conversation with the customer. Thoughts are conceived by listening to client needs and their point of view on new ideas; from information assembled on items fabricated and sold; from facts gathered on products manufactured by observing established techniques.

4. ASK SHOPPERS: ONLINE SURVEYS

In order to know what is coming up in next few years or what could be a successful product/service, You would need to collect data through online surveys about the taste and style people are demanding. Analysing collected data by applying different techniques and predicting the trends, following the leading indicators would allow you to create something that would have demand in near future.

5. INTERVIEW BIG COMPANIES

This would be a fantastic idea to ask questions from the large/multinationals or successful companies. In order to discover what strategies they had implemented over the years and now become successful. Just go through this process and learn some innovative thought provoking ideas from business gurus. Mostly people become hesitant when you told them to do so and start giving you excuses i.e. how I can contact brand manager, why would he/she talk to me. Simple solutions to get through is tell them you are researching for your academic projects or publishing a report on success.

6. INTERVIEW INDUSTRY LEADERS

To come up with a thought that addresses individuals’ issues, there’s no better solution than by interviewing an industry leader. Leaders are the one’s that have come up with new ideas and thoughts. Habitually, they are the trend setters of the industry and rest of the competitors follows them.

7. ATTEND SEMINARS

In modern day business, you can’t isolate your organization from the dynamic changes in the technology and business methods. It would be highly recommended to attend events and seminars on new knowledge/technology/processes. Doing so would make sure that you are updated with the current trends and taste of both corporate and consumer needs.

8. COMBINE IDEAS

Thoughts are things, however, Keep in mind a thought is nothing until it has been popularized and you need clients/users who are willing to pay for your thoughtful service/product. A few thoughts will be uncontrollably productive; others will be a fizzled dream. Figure out how to take out the bad ones rapidly; don’t squander your time. Combine your ideas extracted from thoughts with the objective to figure out what thought will, at last, be the best decision among a few choices.

9. THE ROBIN HOOD METHOD: TAKE WORKING IDEAS FROM ONE AREA OR INDUSTRY AND USE IT IN ANOTHER

To be successful, you can’t stop bringing innovative solutions to existing processes. The practical idea to improve the existing process is to look what are the process used in other industries, copy the idea and implement in your organization. The successful execution would lead the business to profit.

A good book to check out on this idea of taking from one industry and using in a different one is a book called Zero to One by Peter Thiel

10. GET LAZY AND IMPATIENT: LOOK FOR WAYS TO IMPROVE SOMETHING AND HOW TO SOLVE IT WITH MINIMUM EFFORT.

Just keep on searching new and creative ideas to solve the existing problem. Look for new ideas, encourage a culture of suggesting new and improved ideas to resolve the problem. Encircle yourself with an awesome group is essential. Construct your staff with keen, talented, and driven representatives who share your vision. They can change your business as well as quicken its development. Appointing positive, can-do employees makes a culture that empowers cooperation. Cultivate a situation in which everybody takes an interest, so you can praise your organization’s victories.

The end.
